Joyeux Noël is 2005 French movie depicting real events of Christmas truce in World War 1 when British, German and French soldiers ceased fire for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in 1914. They met in no men’s land to exchange personal stuff, play football and take care for the fallen soldiers. Movie also tells personal feeling of some individuals towards war. It’s starring Diane Kruger, Benno Fürmannn and Daniel Brühl.

At the start of the movie I didn’t know that it was based on real events and to me it was highly impossible for something like this to had happened. I enjoyed the movie though. My only small complaint are singing parts where actors were just lip-syncing. Actual singing was performed by professional opera singers. I know this movie couldn’t be without singing since it’s integral part of the event.
